Best Husband Ever!

So last night we got home from Church ate an early dinner and then took a nap. The nap was awesome however we woke up way too late! When I finally woke up and got out of bed the baby was really craving some chocolate.

Last week on facebook, I saw a post that said "In Paris, eating a Nutella banana crepe - anyone jealous?" I said heck yeah I am jealous! On my way home from work that day I stopped and bought strawberries and nutella so I could make me some crepes. Well needless to say I never got the energy up to make them so I opted for just strawberries dipped in Nutella.

Last night I said to Chad "you know what sounds good? Crepes with Nutella strawberries and bananas!". So he got up and made them for me! They were the best thing I have ever eaten. I devoured them and was in heaven!

Oh how I love thee!!! (Chad and Nutella that is!)

Girls Night Out

Last night I got to have a girls night out and we had so much fun. Two girls I meet while on my mission nearly 13 years ago. I am so glad we have been able to stay in contact with each other and have enjoyed years of friendship.

Last night we meet at Pei Wei for dinner which you can never go wrong with Pei Wei. We chatted it up over eating our dinner and we called it drama night. We all talked about all the drama that either we are those we love are experiencing. It is amazing how good it feels to download the drama off your plate and share it with friends - it is like a load has been lifted off your shoulders. Friends ROCK!!

Then after dinner we hurried to the movie "17 Again". I know it has been out forever but I am just now getting around to seeing it. It was a total bargain because it was at the Dollar Theatre.

There were moments in the movie that were so awkward/embarrassing that they were hard to watch, but it was a very cute and enjoyable movie. It did make me feel a little old though because it had a teenage throb in it and the old dad was Matthew Perry who I thought was hot back in the "Friends" day. Oh well - it was a great movie and we had a great night out just us girls.

Let the sewing begin. .

So my mom is a total quilter and told me to pick out the material I wanted for the nursery. Here is what I found.

I think the bumper pads out of this one, so if we have a girl next time we can reuse them. I found tons of cute girl material with the sage green in them.

This one for the valance over the window.

The upper walls will be the dark blue/purple color and the lower half will be white bead board. So cute huh?

I sent this to Chad and he said what is this? I said it is the fabric for the nursery. I said do you like it? He said it is kind of fouffy isn't it. I said no it is blue. He said but where are the trucks and dinosaurs? Does he expect me to have no style just because we are having a boy?

Tell Chad Good Job

So we went for the ultrasound today and found out what we are having. When I called my mom to tell her she guessed right off what it was. She then passed the phone to my dad who said I have always wanted a grandson - tell Chad Good Job!

I am just glad that I don't have to consider the name Phoebe once again since that is the only girl name that Chad will even consider. Today I asked him why he was so in love with that name. I asked is it some girl you dated, wanted to date or really liked - he said no. Then I was talking to someone who will remain anonymous and that person told me that Chad and his siblings had a dog named Phoebe growing up. So for some crazy reason he wanted to name our potential daughter after his doggie! What a silly boy!

So now it is onto picking names and not agreeing on any of them once again! Let the fun begin.

Oh PS - I hope to post the ultrasound video later today.

4th of July weekend fun

So we had a very busy weekend. Thursday night Chad's brother Nick and his wife Stef and son Fisher came to stay with us. Of course Stef and I played cards and she kicked my butt again. I am going to stop playing with her because she always beats me! = (

Friday morning we got up early to go cherry picking at Stef's dad's orchard in Tooele. I have never picked cherries before so I was a newby. We picked for a couple hours and headed home with a ton of cherries. We picked Lambert, Bing, Pie Cherries and some kind of Black Cherry.
Here is a picture of Fisher working hard. Stef said she is not opposed to Child Labor.

My fridge is jam packed of cherries - I weighed them and we have about 25lbs of cherries. What does one do with some many cherries? You can only eat so many without having issues if you know what I mean.

Nick sent me his recipe for Cherry Jalapeno Jelly. He brought some and we ate it on Thursday and it was fabulous. Friday night I made some Cherry syrup to go on our Pancakes for Saturday morning 4th of July Pancakes.

Friday after we picked and washed cherries, we all went to the new water park in Draper called Cowabunga Bay. I can see the water park from work and we have watched it being built over the last couple of months. They have two huge 1200 gallon buckets that dump every 7 min. We know it is every 7min because we can see them dump from our conference room and in one meeting when I was not paying attention I timed how often they were dumping.

Here is a picture of the bucket dumping water.

Friday after the waterpark my friend Jamie and her family from Denver came to stay for the weekend. We had a fun bbq on Saturday with them and some other friends. It turned out to be a perfect day - a few clouds which kept it cool enough to not melt us into puddles of human goo. The kids played on a slip and slide while us adults just watched and laughed.

By that evening I could barely walk. After being on limited activity for the first 4 months of pregnancy I have not used many muscles and after picking cherries, the water park and cooking for a bbq I was completely sore from head to toe.

I got a nap in and then we went and watched the fireworks in Sandy and then I crawled right back into bed. This pregnancy bit is hard when you are old!

Only 24hrs to go

So my appointment to find out what the little munchkin is in a mere 24hrs. I am getting excited to find out what we are having. I think it might be a girl since I have felt different this time than last time. But I guess we will know for sure in 24hrs.

I should not think about it because it will make the 24hrs seem like a million years, so instead I will busy myself with work - BORING!
