Firsts

Bridger has had a couple of firsts yesterday and today. Yesterday we went to go get our season passes for Seven Peaks water park. Then we went and had ice cream at the BYU Creamery. Boy does he love to eat! After our adventure to Provo, we stopped at Traflaga in Lehi because it was a package deal with our season pass for Seven Peaks. Even though the place is only 2 or 3 years old, it was pretty ghetto! They advertised that they had a Carousel and I was excited to let Bridger ride on his first Carousel ride. Unfortunately the Carousel was under construction and looked like it was from the 1900's, it was that run down and rickety. Hopefully once they have made the repairs it will be in much better shape and Bridger will be able to enjoy it.

After that lame visit to Trafalga, we went to visit Chad's grandma in the hospital.
He got to play with grandma a little then we went to let him get his wiggles out while we sat on the grass. While sitting there I got grossed out when a big worm came out of the grass and tried to attack me. Chad picked it up and let Bridger hold it. Luckily he didn't try to eat it. YUCK!!

After our visit with great-grandma, we went to ChuckARama with Chad's parents. Bridger ate like he had never eaten before. He had his first mac and cheese and of course he loved it.
Today's first was Bridger getting his first tooth. Chad was giving him a fruit snack and he noticed something red on his gum and sure enough a nice pointy little tooth was poking out of his gum. He was 10months and 1 week old when he got his first tooth.

10 months old

Bridger is 10 months old! It is going so fast. Normally I don't want time to go fast, but we are on the count down until we leave for California for Thanksgiving. Only 54 more days. During our trip we will also be celebrating Bridger's 1st birthday. I can't believe that his 1st birthday will be here before we know it.

Bridger is full on crawling now and really fast. He loves to follow us around the house. He recently learned to crawl up the stairs, but doesn't know how to go down them yet. We learned that he is allergic to eggs. I made him scrambled eggs for dinner the other night and just as we were finishing, he started rubbing his face and neck and it broke out into a rash.
Bridger got stuck under the chair. He buried his head to get his ball that had rolled under the chair, then sat up. Once he got in there he couldn't figure out how to get out.

Today we walked to the elementray school and played on the swings and slides.

Here is Bridger with his cousin Fisher who is just over 8months older than him. They both weigh 23lbs. We got them matching jammies.

Bridger's first drink from the hose.

Giddy up cowboy!

White Noise

So after another long night with a crying baby, I was trying to figure out what could be my poor baby's issue. Why does he just wake up screaming? Is he sick, stomach ache, gassy, teething, poopy, stuffy nose. . . . ??

Bridger has never been a very good sleeper, he usually wakes up a couple times a night crying. Sometimes he just needs his binky and will go right back to sleep. Sometimes he will just wimper for a minute and then be back to sleep and other nights it is a fight to get him back to sleep.

Thankfully my husband is a night owl and deals with most of the crying episodes until 3am when my shift kicks in. Last night it was a bad night he went to bed at 7:45 and by 9pm he had already cried several times. Needless to say I put in my ear plugs and went to sleep, while Chad was on duty. Around 4am he was up again and not a happier camper. I laid him down with his binky and he laid there trying to go back to sleep, he will talk himself to sleep sometimes.

So I laid in bed trying to think why does he not sleep well? Is he allergic to some foods? He is eating everything now, so perhaps that is too much for his system and he gets stomach aches? He still doesn't have teeth, so maybe he is finally teething? I DON'T KNOW!!!! I hate this.

On my way to work I was talking to my sister and she suggested a white noise maker. Then I remembered, when we went camping and it rained all night he slept like an angel. Not one peep all night. So I did a search for White noise sounds and I found this site. Free downloads of sounds this woman has created for her own child. Some are loud and obnoxious, but others are very soothing. I clicked on "Download all sound files" and then I deleted the ones I didn't like.

I put them on my Ipod and will be putting them on shuffle tonight. Praying this is going to help him sleep better for all our family's sake!

Happy Anniversary

So for our anniversary this year we went camping. Something I have wanted to do since we got married. We went camping at Christmas Meadows in the Unitahs with Chads brother's family. It was a very fun weekend. Not the most ideal camping weather, but we endured. We arrived Friday around noon, set up camp and then my sister in law took me fly fishing while Chad watched the boys. I caught my first fish fly fishing, we realized when I caught it that we didn't have a camera with us to document the experience.

Right after we got done with dinner it started pouring rain and we high tailed it to our tent. It rained most of the night and luckily we stayed dry. Bridger slept like an angel, the sound of the rain must have lulled him into a deep sleep. I kept waking up to check on him to make sure he was still breathing and that he was warm enough. It was pretty chilly that night.

On our way home we drove through Kamas and saw the other side of the Unitahs. It was such a beautiful drive. This is the Upper Provo river Waterfall and Butterfly Lake.

WHY???

Why is he growing so fast?
Why is he so darn cute?

Here is Bridger in his new car. He loved it! The horn even honked.
