Summer is here

Over the 4th of July we went to Bear Lake with Chad's family. It was a cold 4th of July - i think we hit 75degrees as a high and that was on Monday. We decided to hit the lake beach and let Bridger test out the sand in preparation for the REAL beach. He was mesmerized by the sand. He loved letting it squish between his toes. As you can tell from this picture he would not look up - he was just trying to figure out what was between his toes.

Chad's sister that lives in Cedar City came up as well. She has a son, Ethan who is 17days younger than Bridger. Here they are together - checking each other out. Ethan crawls and was attacking Bridger - for some reason he was mesmorized by Bridger's ear and would try and eat it!

Grammie bought a new toy for Bridger and he LOVED IT! I love how he was so proud that he had destroyed it! Such a boy!

I love this picture because he has such a big smile! Such a cutie.

Just got done with bath time and momma made his hair crazy!

While at the cabin - we found this sippy cup and decide to let Bridger have a go with it and see how he liked it. He did pretty well with it and seemed to like it.

A couple weekends ago my sister in law came down with her son Fisher and we went to the water park together. The boys loved playing in the water.

Bridger is 7months old

Bridger is 7 months old! He is still the cutest little guy ever! He has loved all the food we have given him. Avocado, peaches, plums, apples, bananas, green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, acorn squash, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, graham crackers, rice, and pasta. He however does not like to go from fruit to veggies. The other night he was having carrots and plum applesauce for dinner. I started with a bite of carrots and he ate it just fine. Then a bite of plum applesauce which he loved. Then another bite of carrots and he broke out into tears. Every bite I switched back and forth and every time he cried when it was carrots! I ended up mixing them together and he loved it. Bridger is still a very happy baby. He has mastered sitting up and if he starts to fall over he will put his arm out to catch himself. He loves shadows, his toes, he loves scooting around on his back and exploring the living room. I never know which direction he will be in his crib. The other morning I went to take the blanket off what I thought was his face and it was his toes. The last couple of days he has mastered holding his bottle FINALLY! He started blowing zerberts a month or so ago and then the last two weeks he stopped blowing zerberts. Yesterday he rediscovered zerberts! He looked like he was foaming at the mouth.

My friend Jamie was visiting over the weekend from Denver with her family. She has a daughter who is 13months old and weighs the same as Bridger. Bridger was in love with her. He kept trying to hold her hand. It was so cute!

Catch up

I haven't blogged in a while. We have been keeping busy. Chad got sick over Memorial Day weekend, and while he was sick I decided to paint the living room. It is hard painting when you have a 6mo old that wants your attention and Daddy is sick and not up to helping. Before I had yellow and green. After light grey blue and and a shade darker grey blue. Bridger ended up getting sick next with a really sore throat, stuffy nose and another ear infection. I was the last to get sick, and was sick over the next weekend and I really hate being sick. Luckily we are all healthy now. Last week we went to a Bee's game (Salt Lake's baseball team). The kitchen got painted last weekend (same light grey blue)and the garden finally got planted last night. We planted lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, butternut squash, tomatillos, Anaheim chilies, jalapenos, sweet basil, Thai basil, and we have lots of lettuce and cilantro that came back from last year. Bridger got a new swing and Chad installed it in the tree in the backyard. He got his first ride today. He seemed to enjoy it. Hopefully it will keep him entertained while we are out doing yard work. We have vowed to staying onto of the garden this year. (most definitely won't happen!) Bridger is getting so big. He will be 7 months old next week. I can't believe how fast it is going.

Bridger 6months

The cutest little cheeks ever!

Mother's Day we decided to take a family photo.

Bridger helping mommy on the computer.

Bridger loves to stand up, so we bought him this new toy. We were being silly and put his pants on his head. (silly mommy!)

Bridger soaking in the shade before taking his first dip in the pool.

Look Mom NO HANDS!!

Bridger playing with the paper on the table at the Dr's Office.

At Bridger's 6mo appt he was
Height 27in - 72%
Weight 17lbs 12oz 57%
Head 45cm 83%

Bridger is learning to sit up on his own. He will scoot across the living room floor on his back. He learned to blow zerberts in the air. He loves grabbing his toes and playing with them. He is still a very happy and easy baby. He has learned that when he hears a squeak from the door that mommy or daddy will show up soon and he will greet you with a BIG SMILE and start kicking his legs like mad! (even if he is supposed to be asleep!)

Still hasnt mastered sitting up yet.

Bridger swimming

Today we went to the Cowabunga Bay waterpark. It was barely 70 degrees today, which just so happened to be the nicest day we have had in a while. We knew it was too chilly to enjoy the park for long, but since we have season passes we thought we would go try it out and see how Bridger liked the water. He LOVED IT. He didn't like the big bulky life vest so much but everything else he loved.

We had fun splashing in the water and I even took him under the water to see how he would do. He never cried - hopefully he will enjoy the water park all summer long.

Happy Mother's Day

This is why my Mother's day was so great!

Because I get to wake up to this face every morning! What more could I ask for?
