8 months old

Bridger is 8 months old today. I can't believe how big he is getting. He weighs about 21lbs and is 28.5 inches long.
He is getting close to crawling, he still scoots on his stomach backwards and will pivot when he needs to get around something. He is starting to get himself up on all fours. He should be crawling full force in the next week or two.
He has mastered rolling from his back to his stomach. Normally when we put him to bed he would roll on his side and snuggle with his blanket. In the last week, he has just rolled right onto his stomach and has been sleeping on his stomach. We had to lower the crib today because he is getting close to pulling himself up too. If you give him your hand he will pull himself up.
I don't know if I am ready to have a fully mobile little boy!

Last night we went to a place called America's Incredible Pizza. It is a pizza buffet along with arcade, mini golf, mini bowling, bumper cars, racing cars and laser tags. They have themed rooms where you eat your dinner - we decided to eat in the "Drive In" room. The movie that was playing was "The Absent Minded Professor" from 1969 or something. I loved that movie as a kid.

He also had jello for the first time and boy did he love it! He has loved any food we have given him - if we are eating he gets mad if we don't share!

A couple weeks ago my friend's grandpa passed away. She invited us to come to the viewing. Her grandpa was Arnold Friberg who was a famous artist. He was well known for having painted the painting of George Washington praying at Valley Forge as well as the previsualization paintings for the movie The Ten Commandments.

At the viewing they had a lot of his original paintings, some costumes from the movie Ten Commandments that he designed and some Canadian Mounties. He is the only American made an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.



My family was in town last week. My sister and her family got here Friday night and Bridger was already in bed. Saturday morning when both Leo and Bridger were awake we let them play together - they were instantly in love with each other. It was so fun to watch them discover each other. There was some hair pulling, face grabbing and knocking each other over - all out of love of course. Bridger did pull Leo's hair once and he must have pulled pretty hard because poor Leo broke out in full tears. (apparently my son is a brute!)
